Voices

The Chagford Local History Society has conducted a series of oral history interviews with local residents since its inception in the 1980s. In recent years, these have been digitized with the help of a generous grant from the National Lottery Fund in order to preserve them for posterity. Some early tapes had already suffered significant audio deterioration, but most have now been safely transferred and archived for the future. We hope to be able to include audio extracts from some of these interviews here, as well as a complete list of the archived recordings held by the Society.
